1978 SC in Sebring Green-how many made?

Would anyone know how many SC's were built in Sebring Green in 1978? I have a non sunroof Sebring Green SC being painted back to original. The colour code is 260, and in 1977 it was called Daphne Green (same code). The car in question was a tourist delivery ROW spec RHD, sent to Australia after factory delivery and the obligatory European holiday. It should look something like this after painting.

Wow love the color , good luck finding out how many made. Porsche seems to keep a tight grip of production numbers in relation to color and options.

According to the factory manuals they only used this colour code 260 for three years. 1976, 1977 and 1978.
There were other bright light greens produced earlier (chartreusse and birch green spring to mind).
Be nice to know how many were in Daphne/Sebring green, as its an "out there" colour.

No, sorry, this info is not in the public domain. Porsche might be able to figure it out but I doubt you'd get their attention on this question. There aren't many of them out there, as most people have never seen one that color in person, but that's about all the info you're going to get. There's never been anything published that lists how many cars were painted a given color in a given year, apart from the Carrera RS in 1973 and that info was complied by an author of a book on the carrs. There was another book written on the mid-year 2.7 Carreras and the guy that wrote that book migh have researched the same question for his book, but that will do you no good.

Great color. There is a similar green color for 914's called "Ravenna Green" ( # L65K )
I wonder if its the same color. If I ever paint my Schwartzmetallic Porsche it will be one of these green colors, Daphne, Ravenna or Sebring. Thank you for the inspiration now I just gotta find the coin.

Very cool. Like Lime Green (136) with a bunch of yellow added to (brighten) it!

The color also shows up as "Apple Green"

OP the 912 registry has at least 1 Speedway Green listed, so there is 1!

This is not a great picture of my original paint Apple Green 912e, I want to say the paint code is 246, but I don't have the car/tag near me to verify. Apple green has a lot of yellow in it and in direct sun (as below) it washes out the green & looks faded. In the dark or in a garage with fluorescent lighting it really brings the green out (almost glow in the dark).

It is! I took the 912e out to the PCA Zonefest held @ Sebring Raceway, decided to enter Concours & won my class & Judges Award! My son Wollek won a Bosch race car kit & I won a Cayman GT4 steering wheel game @ the raffle!! Needless to say great weekend!
