72' 911T Passenger Side Mirror

I dislike not having a side mirror on the passenger side. Does a matching side mirror exist since my 911T came stocked without one? I know most will recommend that I leave it as is. Since mine is no garage queen, I thought I explore this option. Thoughts?

They are available here and from other vendors. You want PN 91173101406.

Some interesting discussion on the topic here: https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?169756-WTB-1973-5-exterior-passenger-side-mirror

BTW, Nice looking car. Signal Yellow?

Make sure you mount it in the right place so it is usable.

Thanks. So, the access holes on the RS door is of no use?

Sit in the drivers seat and have someone else position the mirror so that you can see it without interference. it will be in a different location than the driver's side because of the different angle of vision to the driver. The access holes will be off, but you may be able to position the mirror to where you can see it, and the holes are still useable. Or maybe not.

Thanks for your input. Based on where the mirror needs to be mounted, the inside door panel will need to be removed.

I got a convex inner mirror instead, it provides a much wider field of view than the passenger side mirror in my opinion. No drilling holes in the door

The only time I miss a second side mirror is backing out of the garage.

I used the existing holes and the mirror was unuseable. Had it removed and had to have the holes fixed. I assume that the holes on right door are for right hand drive mirrors

^^^^This^^^^

Never understood having the dual mirrors just for looks. Install to use and place it properly. IIRC the original flag mirror for NA 72/73 did not offer a passenger side. There was a passenger side mirror option but, it was a different style flag mirror (BMW?).

Some ROW markets were still allowed to use the round Durant mirrors which I think could be placed either side.

Wasn’t until the larger middie flag mirrors came out that a left and right were available.

Anyway, discussed to death in the ESR links.
