A/C Gurus: Need Compressor Advice
Can anyone tell me whether the Sanden compressor is appreciably better than the factory Nippondenso? The reason I ask is that either I am mistaken, or there is a misconception floating around, about the Sanden compressor being a rotary. Vertex, for example, states on its website the following: "Replace your old, leaking compressor with our New rotary conversion kits." My understanding, however, is that the Sanden (like the one Vertex is selling) is a five piston wobble-plate compressor, and that it is not a true rotary like the Seiko. A glance at Sanden's website indicates their compressors are piston, not rotary (though they sell a heavy duty scroll compressor).
So, a/c gurus, help me sort this out. I'm very confused...
Thanks for your help.
