SWB Electric Mounting Plate

68 911T that I rec'd in pieces so working on putting the electric plate installed in the engine compartment back together. Here's what I have:

Coil, relay, and fuel pump are spot on. No issues with those as they match the drawing and plate in location and mounting.

#1. The resistor above the coil...A) is that the resistor? It's not the boru-type and there is no identifying marks. But it looks like the boru resistor. I can't even open it up without cracking the case. B) do I even need a resistor if I'm updating to a new Bosch blue coil. From what I've read I don't need it.

#2 The voltage regulator (above the relay)...if that's what it is. Again, no identifying info on it so I'm assuming that's what it is and where it goes. Doesn't match the dwg or any pics I have. It's labeled with FLD and GND so I'm assuming it is alternator related. It only has 2 leads while the "control box" on wiring diagram says it needs 3.

#3 The 2-pole terminal block (90161289200) below the coil is missing. Do I even need that or can I use some type of weco connector to do the same thing.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I know we're all waiting with anticipation for an answer. But here's how I solved it:

#1. That is the resistor. I pulled out my multimeter and got 1.6 ohms between the poles. The coil I'm replacing it with has 3 ohm internal resistor, so I won't be putting it back in and I'll just bypass.

#2 Yes, that is the voltage regulator. It had a # on the back "8012" so I googled it.. Came up with this: https://www.ebay.com/p/551922618.

Only question I have now is how it wires up. Wiring diagram shows 3 connections (2 go to the alternator and 1 to ground). The brkt is marked ground so that is easy. There's a red wire/blue wire combo that goes to D+/61 on VR. Then a black wire that goes to DF. On this unit I've got a terminal marked FLD and another GN. Anyone know which is which gets the red wire and which gets the blk?

#3. This seems like some kind of terminal block that just brings 2 wires together. I can't tell from pics or wiring diagram why it needs this. Anyone got a car they can look at and tell me what wires are going into it and coming out?

Well I figured out the terminal block, too. PN is 90161289200 for those searching. It is on the wiring diagram (L57) in between the voltage regulator (#3) and resistor (#8). It's simply a connector. Wire from the starter comes in to elect plate and wire goes back out to alternator and relay. You can buy one from Kroon for $30 but I just purchased this:

Circling back around to this:

1. I ended up using the resistor. While the new coils don't need it, L57 shows back-end of resistor also going to #87 on relay. So I cleaned it up and kept it. Wire to coil does not go through resistor.
2. I had a replacement (albeit 70's model) voltage regulator. It was labeled "IGN" and "FLD". After some research, it seems IGN is D+/61 and FLD is DF.
3. New coil is not as large around as existing coil so I added 3M cushion tape to fill the gap and use the bracket.
