Troubleshooting - What is this plug 911 3.2 G50
Hi all,
I added an inline fuse to the blower motor in the frunk and noticed a plug that was not connected to anything. Does anyone know what its for? Can't for the life of me figure it out. <a href="https://ibb.co/v1K8fDt"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/fMP7ZQc/IMG-20240105-144745.jpg" alt="IMG-20240105-144745" border="0"></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='https://imgbb.com/'>quick image upload</a><br /> Thanks |
it is for your windshield washer motor ,should be right in front of the battery

let me see the connection on your washer pump. This connector shows for the washer P.on diagram

Check operation for right side High beams or Fog lamps… perhaps the other connector is buried behind jack.
I don’t have diagram, but think green/white for fog lamp, brown and black was on washer pump last time I replaced mine. |
Thanks for the replies.
My fog lights are not working. They haven't since I bought the car. Just haven't got around to fixing them. Possibly the fuse blew for washer pump and they've connected washer pump to fog lights connector instead of changing fuse? Will have to have a better look. |
fog light wires are white and yellow-and brown to each light...

Hi Wangan - Thanks for posting- great timing!!! I was looking at my unhooked plug earlier in the week with dread and wondering the following:
1) What does this connection run? 2) Why do my Headlamp Washers not work? Just to be safe, I grabbed a 12V battery pack, hooked it up to the male ends, and was able to prime my washer lines! I have no doubt I inadvertently unhooked the connection during battery removal. Regardless, my Headlamp washers are back after having seen this post! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1705714798.jpg |
Thanks everyone. Still no luck.
I've taken some more photos to see if anyone can help identify. Appears my washer bottle is hooked up and working. My fog lights are not working, but I cannot see any lose wiring anywhere for them in the front base of the frunk area. Any ideas? I see one plug opposite to the washer bottle, which may be fog lights? There is nothing long enough or close enough to connect to the loose plug as far as I can see. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1706843207.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1706843207.jpg |
The connection you're showing on the RH side should be for your oil cooler temp sensor and ground. Does your oil temp gauge work?
For your fogs, you can pull the relay from the fuse panel, turn them on, and check for power at the panel. If you have power there, plug the relay back in and check for power at your light. If you don't have power there, suspect bad relay or wiring. |
I'll give that a go. Thanks.
Strange, but my oil temp gauge is working, so not sure why the plugs there. |
Hi Wangan- Just to confirm- do you have Headlamp Washers? I checked my connection, and my wire colors are Yellow and Brown(as in your photos) but with a Black, not White connector body. Your white female plug is in the exact location of my black female plug. The male end (from the headlamp washer pump) had gotten buried under the condenser fan housing. Hoping this provides further insight.

I do not have headlight washers. Is it probable that the plug is there on all 3.2s and plugged into headlight washers for those that have the option?
I do not see any male plugs there at all. |
Checked again. Cannot see any any plugs anywhere in the front area.
