G series Bellypan

I think I need to change my fuel pump on my 2.7s 77 my. Looks like I don't have a front belly pan -weird I seem to have not noticed before !

Can someone post a pic of what my front underside should look like -incan see pics of later cars that leave the fuel tank open but I seem to believe mine should be covered ?

Are belly pans available -a few searches is drawing a blank

Many thks ans also welcome any comments on my fuel pump -it seems to buzz occasionally so time to change methinks before I get stranded somewhere!

Many thks
Andy

Fuel tank is exposed, skid guard only covers the fuel pump.

I tried to buy one new a few years back but the only one available was what came on later cars 87-89, which is different mounting than 74-77.

I do not disbelieve in anything. I start from the premise that everything is true until proved false. Everything is possible.

Maybe this will help. Although it does not show the skid plate that covers the fuel pump.

Here it is, #4 on the PET. It’s found in the section for front axle

The part number is in red.

Rennline have a Skid Plate. It will cover the fuel tank and fuel pump.

No, factory never covered the fuel tank on street cars. Can you post some photos of the mounting points you see? They won't be for a skid plate, but maybe you are missing something else.

Does this one replace the factory skid plate that covers the fuel pump and steering rack?

Seems like you could remove the protective cover of the fuel pump if you install the skid plate. Saves a little weight and work on accessing the fp.
