Shipping parts internationally from our host.

I'm not sure where should I post this, so I will just post it here.

I placed an order for few small parts from Pelican few weeks ago and asked to ship them via DHL so usually it will arrive with in 3 to 4 days, and to my surprise it never made it home and for some unknown reason they returned them back to the shipper (parts were just few oil pump/cooler O ring seals and a front oil cooler), I called Pelican and they asked if it was ok to ship it via Fedex and I said sure, now the shipment is in Gardena, CA since 13th and never moved a head! .. I want to close my engine and can't do that without the O ring seals! .. Is there anything in US that stopped international shipments??

As for shipping FedEx, PP is great at fulfillment and pickup by carriers, it may be at a drop hub or in-transit overseas and it’s only after it arrives at an international destination, clears customs will FedEx update the Tracking.
Good luck trying to get an answer from FedEx customer service.

I'm not blaming PP, as they never delayed any order in the past, but its strange that both DHL and Fedex can't deliver the same parts.

I live in New Zealand and have never had problems getting parts delivered. And NZ is as far away from anywhere that you can get.

Back in the day Wayne and the boys would take the car parts down to the docks and wave down the banana boat captain, and ask him to drop off the parts as he went past Bill's house. These days we tend to use DHL. My favourite was USPS fixed rate international boxes. But now they are as expensive as DHL, so may as well just use DHL.

The parts tend to arrive between five and seven days after ordering, which I think is pretty good.

Hey kamaro,

Can you shoot me a DM with your order number? I can have a customer service rep look into what's going on.
