911SC Sensor Plate Damage
Has anyone ever seen damage to a CIS sensor plate housing like this? It took me a while to notice after pulling it off of the car, but what the heck. I have so many questions, like where did this chunk of metal go and what happened? I don't think this will affect the functioning of the senor plate but let me know what you guys think.

Yeah that is strange. No functional issue from what I can see. No idea how that could happen..

The mixture control is surely accessible now with the tamper proof plug out of the way, remember lean .... out. |
Duct Tape……….
The missing section of the AFM will have no adverse effect on your CIS. Put a piece of duct tape over it and puncture a tiny hole for access to the fuel mixture screw. Should you need a replacement AFM, I got boxes of AFM’s collecting dust. Take care of shipping and handling, and I will put one in the mail. What is the Bosch ID # on the AFM?

The engine will draw a very small amount of unfiltered air in, seems like a good time to replace it.

There should be plenty of those around with all the carb and EFI conversions going on.

Tony, you are the man. Just sent a PM. Here is a pic of the part number (0 438 120 149) and little stamping "244," if that means anything. This is for an '82 SC, so it has the connector on the backside. Thanks!

I wonder if someone got a little aggressive trying to adjust the mixture. I believe that year had a tamper screw.
