Dashboard Switches

Hi,

In my 1988 911 convertible, there are a few switches you pull (much like the headlights.)

One is for the fog lights, and I’ve heard the other is for a rear window defogger -but is that valid for a convertible. Both switches look like they have markings for lights, but I can’t work out what the non-fog light one is for?

This is from the 1987 owner's manual. I assume '88 would be similar.
