084D and C12091 Error Codes on 2013 Porsche 911 991 C2S
Hello everyone,
My first post in rennlist for my first 911. I purchased this 911 C2S 2 months ago with 45K miles. On the weekend, I bought iCarsoft CR MAX, ran scans, and found many errors related to PCM. This is quite expected since I added an Isudar PCM 3.1 Apple Carplay module to modernize the old PCM 3.1. I cleared all codes, but a few persisted. Here are the codes: Passenger's door - 084D Implausible signal - Inner door handle switch, continuous actuated. Front-end electronics - C12091 active/static - Check door control unit fault mem, content, driver. Rear-end electronics - C12091 Active/static - Check door (driver) control unit fault. content. Driver's door - 084D Implausible signal - Inner door handle switch, continuous actuated. Passengers door- 084D Implausible signal - Inner door handle switch, continuous actuated. It's probably related, but here is what I found out from researching before buying the iCarsoft. The driver door window switch has a top button for folding mirrors that does not work. When I bought the car, I figured I would go to FCP Euro or Suncoast and buy the replacement windows switch module. I went online left my vin and made the purchase. A couple of weeks later a different switch module without the top folding mirror button shows up. I called Suncoast, thinking they sent me the wrong module, but they confirmed that for my VIN, that is the correct part number. So I started thinking maybe the previous owner replaced the whole module with the first one they found (on amazon or something) without even checking compatibility. I wonder if putting a part that does not belong to that car will cause these errors to show up. Either way, I am wondering if anyone went through these error messages before and what parts they ended up getting. Is it a simple window switch or the whole door module + door handles for both doors. ![]() ![]()
