Question on Paint/Interior codes 83 SC

I have researched all the codes to my car which should be Light Bronze Metallic with a Chocolate leather interior on an 83 911SC Cabriolet.
As you can see in the original owners book on line 4 it looks like codes
U1V9 for the paint and YG for the interior. I know paint codes with Porsche's can vary. The sticker under the hood has been removed.
Any thoughts without getting a COA? Or other sources to check?
Regards,

Platinum metallic (might also be known as Pewter) with a brown partial leather interior, brown carpets.

Perfect!!!! Thanks!!!!!! I know Light Bronze Metallic and Platinum Metallic were very close in color. I have ordered color touch up for both, but neither were a perfect match. I will have to look for one of those color charts.
Well that makes the car Platinum Metallic with the brown interior, brown carpet and black top which is how it is.
Thanks again,

In the front cover of my 81 owner's manual - maroon vinyl cover - there is a little pocket that has a silver tag in it with the paint code on it.

For the color code, light bronze metallic is 966. You should be able to find a small metal tag either on the driver's side door, where the hinges are. It could also be where mine is and that is in the trunk. It is on the passenger side of the trunk, towards the front/side behind the carpet. The plate is about 1 inch by 1 inch square.

Also, my car (built date, Oct '82) has no sticker under the trunk lid either. I read somewhere that Porsche didn't start placing a sticker there until the 1984 models.

Porsche started using the paper labels in the spring of 1983.

He's got the code, it's written in his owners manual. It's Platinum metallic...

I certainly can't dispute a picture of a color chart, but oddly Platinum Metallic isn't listed in "The Red Book".

I gather based on his car's production number, his car was built towards the end of 1982. So his trunk lid would not have had a sticker.

Mark, what is the built date of your car?

Thank you nineball for the paint pictures, S2GART and javadog thanks for the info. There was nothing in the drivers side door like my 2 other Porsches but I just located the silver sticker in the trunk on the passenger side.

Code:
655 93
Platinumetallic
U1

Thanks!

I have '82 911SC Coupe, Platinumetallic (gold). Its color code is same 655

I found the large car details/options and price sheet from the dealer and it has a color code of "U1U1YG"

One or two of the above 2-digit alphanumeric is probably for the interior.

I also want to find exact color for interior so I could do proper restoration. Anyone know what color the YG code stands for?

From Mark Waller posted that his color codes are U1V9 and YG. I wonder if U1 means body which we both have UI (also indicated by Porsche engine bay sticker as color 655). The 2nd set his is V9 mine is U1, maybe because my coupe roof is same color platinumetallic while his cabriolet roof is a different color. Then the third set YG which both our car are the same code so we have the same dark brown interior.

found Porsche interior code YG

Thanks to image posted by FrenchToast, curtesy of ReL, showing 1984 interior codes but most likely apply to all other 80's 911

YG has the details below
