Is this shifter OEM?

Hi all. I’m still exploring my new 77 911S.

Got a new shift boot to replace one with a tear. I’m wondering is this shifter looks OEM? I thought that tab on side was part of one of the shifter upgrades. Thought?

Yes, it is. That tab is the factory tab that gives a detent between the 3-4 and 5-R gates. You’re probably thinking of the Seine shifter that adds another tab on the other side of the lever and corresponding tabs on the left side of the tower that give you a detent between 1-2 and 3-4.
