Engine Bay Part ID Help

I've got a 76 911s with a transplanted SC engine. I know the car had an air pump that was removed prior to my ownership. Is this a part of that system? This part is normally hidden behind the hot air feed to the engine heater fan. Mainly entertaining the idea of removing it if it's no longer necessary. Do you know what this is?

Cordially,

Roger

Thank you! Yes, searching for cruise control servo comes up with a match. Just the bit of info. I needed.

I do not have one of those in my 1980 911SC . I also do not have cruise control. agree that it's prob cruise control - as it's in immediate vicinity of throttle system
