Anyone seen this oil cooler set up or know of it, comments on effectiveness, benefit of location, etc.

It was outfitted on a Bring a Trailer auction car last year. I can’t find it at the moment.

No but why would you WANT to return the motor heat to the motor?

that was about the setup I had in the London-Sydney car. Worked like a charm.

OK. Glad it worked.

I just think that, all things being equal, you want the heat dumped outside of the engine room.

That was my first thought. My second thought was the fan is going to pull air with the least resistance, and it would bypass the oil cooler.

the rules stated that there were no external lines allowed, if I remember correctly.
Anyway that was 20+ years ago.

Interesting. Even though the factory lines would go along the sill on the car?

I've had a chance to inspect / pet both the CSF on-engine and Carrera fender cooler units. OMG are they ever NICE. My next project gets both of these and Elephant finned lines. Superfluous? Maybe. Drool worthy? Definitely!

Yes, it's nice to have some bling on your car, and somehow it has a function. I do love nice engineering, just look at my elephant racing fully adjustable spring plates on my 911 that has not even seen a track day. Nothing wrong with that in my book.
Go for it - as long as I don't have to pay for it
