Fuch restoration in Canada?
Does anyone know if anyone in Canada restores early fuchs? I'd prefer not to deal with customs hassles...
Cheers

There are the shops that say they can but really they can't. I have had a wheel nearly ruined by one shop and the others do not do not do the anodized finish.
This is in the Vancouver area. There may be others back east. PM me for details |

Panther screwed one of my wheels and then hid behind a wall of excusses.
They really lack technical knowledge there. |

I had Nu-Brite do the polishing work. I then took them over to Spectral Finishing in Surrey to do the anodize. Then I sprayed them in a Wurth flat black. I'm very happy with the results. BTW if any of your wheels have ever had a repair it will show up after anodizing.

Carcone's re-finished my aluminum wheels on my old Blazer and Thunderbird Super Coupe. They did a very good job. There is another company in Concord that advertises in my local PCA newsletter. However I'm not sure of their name but I know that they are expensive. It might be called Rote Technologies. Maybe someone else from Upper Canada Region knows who I am talking about.

I shipped my fuch wheels to Panther and they straightened out 3, welded a repair on one and anodized the lot to factory look. I was very happy with the results. I have also heard of Green's in Vancouver does a good job.... Best of luck

It may be worth the hassle. Call Green's for a quote. Then call Al Reed in CA.

We use Green's pretty much exclusiviely now after using others for years. NuBrite was around the corner from our original location, which was convenient, but quality was not what we were looking for.
Greens comes out to our shop the day we call them, picks up wheels, does amazing work, and drops them back off at our shop... Gave up on Panther about 20 years ago....
