Subject: Continuing our investigation – unique 1972 Porsche type 911 ST with fluorescent paint and integrated Cibie “cup” lights

Hello everyone,

We continue our research on our 1972 Porsche 911 prepared in ST specification, recently confirmed to have its genuine fluorescent repainting from period in Germany. Our current focus is on the integrated “cup-style” Alpine-type CIBIE lights added to the bonnet. We have confirmed that no other 911 like ours is known to exist, and period evidence suggests that Porsche experimented with this type of headlight setup. Although there are no official photos or documents showing these exact lights, it is possible that they were commissioned from a specialized workshop with close ties to Porsche, just like the fluorescent UV-reactive paintwork.

We would be truly grateful to find any photo of another 911 bonnet like ours, or any information about these CIBIE lights being added in Germany in 1972, especially in connection with experimental workshops, Weissach prototypes, or private preparers.

Ahora nos centramos en nuestra investigacion en los faros de campana tipo alpine genuinos CIBIE adicionados al capo, nos consta que no hay otro igual al nuestro y que porsche ensayo con estos faros,si bien no hay docuemntos graficos ni pruebas de los mismos ,posiblemente se encargaron a un taller con herramientas y conexiones con porsche al igual que la pintura que reaciona a la luz uva,no encantaria encontrar una foto de otro capo igual al nuestro o alguna informacion sobre los mismos adicionados en el 72 en alemania repintado fluoresente tambien alemania.aporto fotos en detalle de los faros CIBIE y el trabajo artesanal de su adicion al capo agradeceriamos cualquier informacion sobre maquetas,talleres de experimentacion porsche o particulares que nos ayuden a esclarecer su origen,buen dia para todos.

First of all, thank you for the first comment in that thread. Second, I'd like to tell you that we decided to reopen our forum after twenty years as happy owners of chassis 9112300576. A few days ago, an invaluable collaborator from Germany, a personal friend of Mr. Dieter Fen, who, as you know, was the founder of the Porsche Pozima club in 1970, a renowned driver, and owner of the very important Fend pen and patent factory, got us back to work and resumed our investigation.
