Side marker lights require pressure...

Installed new LED bulbs on our 1988 930, including new LED relay. All looks great, but noticed the passenger rear parking light will only work if I push on the tab holding the reflector in...??

Tried different bulbs, back to incandescent, but no luck. Everything is tight in the housing and where the wires and sockets meet the potmetal...

And it isn’t convenient to just push it in when you need it on?

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a grounding issue with the led bulb. It worked with a non led bulb. I switched to a different led manufacturer and the new bulb worked fine.

Is that a one way insert bulb or can it be rotated 180° and installed? If it can, try rotating it 180 to see if that makes a diff. Otherwise, ya, ground is likely to be floating on that branch.

Thanks all! Ended up putting in a custom LED light in its place, removing the old socket completely. With the reflector and tail light lens on, you can't even tell its not OEM. A bonus, it works! Thanks again!
