Jorge,

I'd be very interested in a copy too please, Jorge.

*.dxf, *.tif or *.dwg is fine - agc911@tpg.com.au

Many Thanks!

P.S. I'll be taking delivery of a brand-new 8" x 4" CNC Router within the next 30 days. I think I'll try making one in aluminium (aluminum). Hey, I'll be able to make grille badges too!

I'd like to take a shot at is also. .pdf, or .dwg are both ok. Dwg would be best if you have it. Thanks!

Jorge,

I would love one too, but am not sure my skills are up to the challenge. Could you post some pics of the cover from different angles?

Any of you guys with fancy machining tools, if you're going to make one, could you make two?

I'd pay.

Thanks!

Please send a copy of the drawings in "PDF", I will get it quoted from a couple of shops we have do fabrication work. I would guess that it could quickly go over $300 just from the pictures.
Thank you

I have a completed design, that I currently have out for quotes. It's quite a bit different than Jorges, which is very nice by the way. I am machining an aluminum frame to support/house the filter, with a formed aluminum sheet metal cover with louvers punched into it. The frame will be black anodized, with the louvered sheet metal clear anodized. Should have the protos built and pricing established very soon. If anybody is interested I'll send you a photo of the proto. PM me

Al

Wow!! File has been sent out to all that requested it. If I knew there was going to be this much interest before, I probably would have gone the next step and at least done a proto type run. Who knows. I trust you guys right? just remember I WANT ROYALTIES!!!
Good luck to all, if you need help or have questions feel free to contact me.

PS. If I missed someone which I might have, let me know

Jorge - did you notice any improvement in your engine output with this airbox? I read (briefly) that you stated "the sound" changed. How would you describe that?

Thanks

P.S.: thanks for sending the file.

Hi, Well the notation has become deeper, that probably is the best I can describe it. in addition I also installed the K&N which aided in changing the sound. Try this remove you air box from your engine leave filter in place start your engine and play close attention to the sound. maybe that will give you a taste. Also my car car has a modified exhaust set up along other non stock mods. but I definately like it, as far as output again with my other mods its hard to really distinuish more power.

Maybe we should set up a mailing list, so that Jorge isn't spending his whole life on-forwarding the files. I'll be happy to forward it on when I get home tonight (Aust. time). Just let me know!
