Gouges in cam tower surface !!!!!

I have no Idea how the gouges got there,..I sent them out with the heads attached to the towers,..The M.S cleaned them and resurfaced the towers ,..and said just use more sealant in those area's,..They felt that the towers were scared at the factory....Any Info on what I need to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???? Thanks Frank

they may have been apart before? the oval areas around the valve springs is the only area you need to worry about. the flat surface between them does no sealing. a fine file can be used to dress any high spots.

Well I tried a pic,. Ryan but it keeps washing out,...But the M.S said I could send them back to rework (on me ),..or use some alum.epoxy filler..on them ...they also said they have seen it before and if they thought it was a problem they would have called....Thanks for the Info John,...Frank

Cool, between what JW and your MS said you should be good to go. I was kind of 'scared' for you too.
