Actually to clarify the #14 car a little. The car was the Fitzpatrick K4. Holbert drove the car in the 1984 Miami Grand Prix with Lowenbrau sponsorship under the John Fitzpatrick Racing banner and DNF'd. The car was then entered at the next round at Sebring again under the John Fitzpatrick Racing. It did not have Lowenbrau Sponsorship as the Lowenbrau sponsorship was on the #86 Bayside car. The initial drivers for the race in the #14 car were John Graham, Hugo Gralia, Preston Henn but Holbert put in some stints after the Bayside car retired and finished 6th.

Was the Interscope K4 seriously run? There doesn't seem to be too much info/pictures on it.

The Interscope K4 was only raced twice, both in August 1981 in Canada,at Mosport(3rd)and at Elkhart Lake two weeks later(7th),both times driven by Ted Field/Bill Whittington. At this time the team had their usual K3's as well as three Lola T600's.The K4 was mothballed in the Vasek Polak collection until bought by Michael Lauer in 1998.Two of the other photos posted recently are the black with yellow and red striped car #4,this was owned and driven by Willy Koenig in Germann STT races. He was the guy who built hideously modified Ferrari's for road use;he also had a Group 5 BMW 320 and an M1 in the same livery. The orange Jagermeister car is a recently('05) renovated car owned by Swede Claes Wahlund, driven by Thomas Henrysson at the '05 Nurburgring Historic Group C/GTP race.

Ian , The K4 was not the car that finished 3rd at Mosport . My car finished 10th and I have that race on film via " Red Mist Stuff" It was the K3 . It was also the K3 at Road America (Elkhart Lake , WI)

You are correct,my mistake, apologies.I should have checked my own notes but rather sloppily used a print off about the car from a well known/authoritative (?) car dealer.I also have the Red Mist Stuff tape and should have known better.I am at the moment trying to identify over 80 photos I have just acquired from the '70 to '83 DRM era and my brain is starting to hurt, either that or too much wine is my excuse!! I understand . I just acquired a bunch of photos as well and am in the process of trying to identify what races they are from . Some photos are easy to identify and some are not. I have a 934 that raced in the DRM 1976-1978 . If you have any 934 photos let me know I would be interested if you have any of my car. It was a Georg Loos car then went to Claude Haldi .

Forgive the poor quality image (digital camera). I drew this at my parents kitchen table at age 21 in 1979. I submitted it to the editor the local PCA "Nor'Easter" magazine Kathy Tate. She published it and later it was published in the next issue of Christophorus. I don't have a copy of that issue but if I remember correctly the factory engineers were very amused by the concept but had concerns about the amount of static electricity generated by the "Fastracs"

Nice drawing !! I heard the reason the factory did not build it is because at 3 sets of titanium axles x 30,000 a set the cost was way to high

That was chassis JR 2 Rolf was killed in, I was there as well... Bad day for sure. I bought the remains of the motor from Fitz that were from that car ( and another complete one ), it was attached by oil lines just hanging on to the tube chassis. I Restored the other Moretti ( Momo ) car. chassis JR 1 back in the mid 80's, I could have bought it from him less the motor for I think 45K... We were sitting in my office and he asked me if I wanted it, he did not feel like hassling with the project but knew he had to do something with it. Oh well, another one I should have grabbed. I've got a bunch of pictures of both cars somewhere I will try and scan some and post them.
