is your fan working? and superman just told me that his SC had a bunch of crap/sludge in his oil cooler. things went better when he had the system cleaned out. also, make sure your fan belt is tighten correctly. just what high temp were you seeing?

I would check the thermostat behind the right rear wheel, let the car warm up, then put your hands on the tubes after it that go to the oil cooler and see if they are hot, Kevin

Often its the guage/sender that becomes inaccurate. You want to check its something simple like this.

I'll check the thermostat and oil cooler to see what happen. Also I notice that the oil level guage jump up and down when my car at idle.
Thanks

O.K. I did the oil change, and start the car, warm that up to 3/4 of the tempeture guage. And I touch the oil line to the front oil cooler, Still cold. When will the thermstat open?
Thanks

long before the gauge hits the 3/4 point. you do mean 3/4 up, right?

Mine stays cold until a few minutes after the oil temp has reached the first tick. Drive it spiritedly for 10 minutes after it has reached that first tick, that's when mine gets hot.

Sounds like the thermostat is allowing oil to move up to the front cooler. I would guess that either the thermostat is bad or that one of the lines running under the rocker panel got pinched (tire change is typical culprit).

Now the temperture guage on 1/2, and I feel the oil thought the front oil cooler now, is that too high for the thermostat open? Or is normal?
Thanks for all of you guys.

Oil should start flowing to the front when the engine gets to about 190 degF..the second white line from the bottom at 8 o'clock position. Function of the thermostat in the right-rear fender well.

The tstat on my SC opens at around 200 degrees. That's just above the second white bar on your temperature gauge.

There are many reasons your car may overheat. If you do a search on my user name in this forum, you will find a few threads that detail many different things to check and how to check them. There's alot of experience in there that could help you.
