How to ID porsche Distributors

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good site or can send me a list with how to ID Porsche distributors from the numbers on the side?

I am also looking for a dizzy for a 70 s and also for a 78-79 SC motor. Are there any other type that are compatible ? ie will a bosch from a 70 T work on a 70S.

I have the following that I would like to ID.

nb 0231 169004

Thanks

Alan.UK

If it's Bosch distributor then this link may help. http://www.boschusa.com/AutoParts/PartFinder/partfinder.asp

It's a bit tedious to cross-reference parts but better than nothing. Also, I'm sure Early S Man will be able to help.
