homemade p225 tool for 901 dog ring removal
Hi, in case this helps anyone else down the line... it seems like the p225 tool is backordered everywhere, so I made my own.
- 1/4" steel plate from home depot cut in half - on a drill press, 2 3/8" hole saw with pilot drill down to about 1.5mm from cutting through the plate - switch to 2 1/4" hole saw using the same pilot hole and cut all the way through - cut the plate in half once the hole is drilled through Works great! I just used a large socket and hammer to drive the gear out over a vise. I'll weld some tabs on later so it can be bolted together, but it worked fine as-is. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
