Custom Model/Replica Source?

Guys,

I've asked this before and got nowhere. I'm looking for leads to someone who could build me a couple of replicas (plastic or steel) of my racecar to give to my nephews.

I'm not looking at spending mucho bucks on this but realize that will be a pretty penny no matter what.

I got some plastic 911R models which I'm trying to build a model out of but, I have no skills building custom exhausts (megaphones) or getting the proper graphics.

Any leads are appreciated.

depends on how detailed you're getting...

I'm a little out of practice building...(the weather in GA doesn't keep you inside long enough...(like Michigan))..I don't build nearly as many as I used to.

what size are we talking?

I forget the scale but it will be the same as the Revel or Testor kits of old.

Any pics of what you've built?

some...shoot me an e-mail ping to steved033 at comcast dot net...the 0 is a zero.

I'll take some tonight of my "keepers"

I was into 1/43 and 1/87 resin models for a little while, then race planes, several subaru rally/street cars in 1/24...I'll send an assortment...I'm doing a bmw 320i race car right now...or the past few months...

your kits are most likely 1/24 or 1/25.

Expensive...... I'm awaiting feedback on my particular "needs"

SJD sent me pics of some of his models which BTW are really cool and very detailed!

Do yo have a pic of your kit? If you can email it to me I prob could give it a try. I do modifications on the diecast models for myself mainly. But your project sounds interesting. How detailed do you want it to be?
you can email pics to mracer@comcast.net or post it here.

PS. Thanks 76911S - interesting thread!

The kits I have are by Fujimi and are in plastic. If some knows where to find a 911R in metal (not a 1/43 please) I'd be interesting in lokking into it to be modified as a replica of my car.

I'll try to get some pics and will post them.

I highly doubt that there is a model in 1/18 of 911R. I know that there is a 2.4 911S done by Eagle Race ( Universal now ). it is done either with a duck tail or witout. Would that be close enough? The rear lights could be modified to the R lights.
