My 86 930 Turbo has a few small issues I could use some advice on.... 1. Rear tire wear: Is there a trick to alignment or is it natural to have tire wear on the INSIDE tread of both rear tires? Is it my driving style, an inflation issue, or does it simply need properly aligned?? 2. Brake squeel: this one drives me crazy..I've seen several posts here about altering the brake pad wear tabs, but I'd rather not do that unless it's the last recourse. Pads are good, rotors are good, it just shrills when stopping. 3. Resonating noise.... Maybe I'm paranoid, but the car hums at a regular pace when at speed - in about one-second intervals. Obviously, I notice it more on newly-paved roads, and it's not the muffler I'm talking about - it just seems like the entire chassis is resonating. Tires?? alignment?? Maybe the tires have flat spots from storage?? ANY thoughts would be appreciated.

1. Most likely, if you have wear on both insides of the tires, then you have too much negative camber, which can be fixed w/ an alignment.
2. Some pads just squeal. You can try adhesive strips that stick to the back side of the pad, or try another brand of pad. 3.Is your idle steady, or does it fluctuate? If steady, then it could be your tires. Flat spotting is possible, which should go away w/ some driving and the warmer weather. Are you sure it is not something in the road surface, such as expansion joints or rain grooves?
