steering wheel swap question

Does anyone know what needs to be changed or modified to install the early 80's clover leaf wheel on a early car 70-73??
Thanks

You need absolutly nothing except a clover leaf type steering wheel and a socket with an extension to remove and align and replace the old steering wheel with the new one. (I guess that is two things that you will need.)

It won't go in far enough to even start the nut and I don't see how it will cancel either.

Post some pics, and the folks on this board will figure it out.

My thinking is you are wanting to use a wheel that has the "crash cushion extension" in it onto a stem that was never designed for one.

Good luck,
David Duffield
