Power Window Switch Wiring
I'm one of those guys who doesn't listen to good advice and gets humbled by it every time.
I recently removed the door panel from a 1986 Carrera and, despite the suggestion, didn't write down the wire-to-terminal information. Can anyone help me with deciphering which wire goes where on the numbered terminals for both the driver and passenger window switches? |
Davy, I also have an 86 and here are some photos I recently took prior to a disassemble - hope they help. BTW mine is Right Hand Drive,

Dave... those are great pics.. how did you do that ?
ps: only about 4 full size pics under 100kb total |
David:
Thank you very much for the pictures! They were exactly what I needed to make the connections. The following is the wire-to-terminal order for the window switches on the driver's door in case you want to make a note The numbers are in very small print next to the terminals on each switch. Thanks, again...NavyDavy (P.S. Great interior) Driver's Window 1 - Blue 2 - Blue/Black 3 - Single Red/Blue 4 - Brown 5 - Double Red/Blue Passenger's Window 1 - Red/Black 2 - Red/White 3 - Double Red/Blue 4 - Brown 5 - Double Red/Blue |
Glad it all worked out Navy Davy.
Ronin - camera's and me are not a good match so I can't really help. I do remember selecting macro mode just before shooting. |
