Hub Stands and alignments
Does anyone here have experience with hub stands for doing alignments?
I have strings and scales for chassis setup but want to streamline the process. Hub stands will give easier access to adjusters, especially in the rear. This means on the car adjustments rather than the [jackup, adjust, set down, settle] routine. In some cases I even have to remove a wheel to adjust depending on how much rubber is stuffed into the fender. I am looking to add a set of hub stands to my tool arsenal. I see several options and am looking for some real world usage. My current choice is the Flyin' Miata version. These have tilt and roll for the ability to make dynamic changes. I am just not sure about the cross bar for toe measurements. The 928 Motorsports version looks to be only for cleaning and storage. They have no degrees of freedom built into their design. However, they are price competitive. BBX Racing makes some nice ones but they are considerably higher price. Would love to hear your thoughts.
