Ball studs

Does anyone know where i can purchase a 5mm bolt on ball stud?
I have a 911 T engine in my VW bus and i need to slightly change the geometry on my throttle linkage. i need to drill a hole in one of my linkage plates and add a ball stud so that i can get full throttle out of my PMO's. I think ball stud is the proper term. You know it fits into an adjustable socket on the end of a linkage rod. All the ones that i can find seem to be the type that are peened over on the back side.Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

grind off the peened shaft and silver solder a 5mm bolt onto the flange below the ball.

I was hoping to avoid that.I guess i could have a machinist drill out a 5mm ball bearing and thread a stud into it.

Easier to have the machinist fabricate the 5mm ball end out of a bolt (stainless a possibility). Ball bearings are made out of pretty hard material - not easy to machine using regular tooling, especially material as small as 5mm.

Maybe you can source something from this supplier:
Home - Midwest Control Products Corp.

Hi there

I think these guys make what you want:

Home; Illston and Robson.com; Manufacturers of Balljoints & Airline Couplings

Maybe they have a local supplier

The smallest McMaster Carr has are M6 ball studs...

You can get them from PMO if needed..

Thanks for the input. The ball itself is 5mm. I will try PMO.
Seems like such a simple item. I'm surprised noone has these on the shelf.
Cheers
