Gunk in my trunk or "Can I degrease this and hose it down?"
 

Okay, not really the truck when we're talking Pcars...

After removing my fan and alt. I found a large amount of oil and sludge on the top of the engine case and heads under the shroud. This was from my badly leaking crankcase breather. That's fixed.

Now for the cleanup question;

Is it safe to spray engine degreaser on the top of the engine case and heads and spray it down with water after?
