Cant belive I'm 38 already - maybe I'm getting ready for that mid-life crisis I hear so many talk about ........

I'm currently 28, but I don't feel young anymore after taking the wife, my son and daughter to Disneyland this past June.

My wife is jealous that I work on my car so much, but she has grown to understand it, well sort of.

I'm 35, purchased my 356 when I was 29 and my early 911 when I was 32. 2 kids (4 and 7) and a wife who makes enough money to support my hobbies. My Porsches share the garage with a Ducati, a new truck and a 2002 Winnebago. Life is good!

I am 39...wanted a 911 ever since I learned to drive one when I was 17. I told my wife that I am headed for a mid-life crises...men either have an affair or buy a sports car...I asked her to help me make the right decision. She did.

The 15 year old wins hands down, we'll be hearing more from him. Almost went down same route but got sidetracked.... Kudos to that young man!

Well, assuming he was 15 when he posted that back in '07, he's pushing 18 or 19 now... (and the 15 y/o in post #93 is almost 21!).

Wow, this thread has been going for a LONG time. I am almost 21 now, a 3rd year Anthropology major at UC Riverside, and still have the Porsche at my parent's house. I have changed so much since I wrote the quoted post. Haha.

Ok, wow. I guess I was originally post #7. From 15 to almost 21, it is cool to see how things have changed... 6 years went by so fast!

I don't know how I missed this the first time around, or second, or third... I consider myself a younger 911 owner.

I'm 32 now. Bought the car when I was 25. When I look back on my decision to buy an old 911 that needed a lot of work on my salary at the time, it was a stupid decision. I'm so glad I did though because it has been a great car and a blast to work on and drive. Of course it's now an "investment" because I've put so much money into it.

I've been a PCA member since I got the car, but I rarely go to any meetings because I am almost always the youngest person there with the oldest car. I wish there were some younger guys in our area that were active.

See post #50.

Yesterday:

He is now 24, college grad, enjoying his ‘dream 1st job’ and still playing with Porsches
(yesterday at HPR) after 11 years of ownership and being a PCA member.
(He also got an SCCA “W” National License at age 16.)

Perhaps not the youngest but hopefully at age 80 (in 2065) he may be the longest.

Best,
Grady

I'm 33. Bought my car last year. Definitely not the youngest what I've read. But as we all know Porsche's have a timeless appeal to all ages.
