I have a 915 transmission in my 911, and I'm having a bit of trouble with the serial number. I jacked the car up on the driver side, and the number that read on the transmission is: 915166130R. The next number under the transmission reads: 7186339. What year would the transmission be from? Lastly, where on the transmission would I find the "915/xx" number?
Thanks in advance!

Found it! It's 915/61, so it is 1978 U.S. 915 transmission.
I'm just making sure since just about everything has been converted in my car. The engine is a Euro '78, so is it healthy for it to be hooked up to a U.S. 915?
