Hey I am running 205 . 55 16's on a set of SC front 16 x 6" rims, I am running spacers on the fronts to keep from rubbing the strut and inside wheel well at lock, and on the rear I had to roll the fender lip for clearance. They do not rub.
I know some dont like to roll the lip but I do like the filled out look!! I have a current project, 71 911 Targa had 14" alloys on it just does not do it for me, just picked up a set of 16 X 6's with 205 . 55 16 GY eagles on them, still black out look (not a big fan of that on early cars but will work till I send them off to Al Reed as the set on the 66) I realy want to mount them and see if I have room on the rear with the slight flair on the 71 to fit the SC 16 x 7's on it. Any one running 16 x 7's on a 71 type flair?? I have a pair in the garage, that need to be finished if it does look like they will fit. Will be a few weeks before I can check on my own, I am reassembling post paint and motor is also still out. I hope they fit without having to roll the lip, as I painted it without rolling them. ![]()

Hello Patrice. Good to see your car again. It's been a while, I used to run a blue '93 Miata (stock class) in the late 90's at NCAC/Triad/Tarheel events. I always was impressed by your car and driving. Very fast.

![]() I keep trying to win the lottery, but alas...no luck so far. Of course, you couldn't trust a million dollar car in my hands. Thus...I'd build a replica.

thx Doug... is this car a 67' or a 72' ? I thought I saw an external oil door i.e. 72' vintage, no? I think from looking at the side of the tub, that the rear torsion bar round opening at the base of the rear quarters looks like a short wheel base tub, no?
Maybe another factory early trial of a part before it went into production? Bob

All of the R's had the external oil filler. Nice pictures John, you just need to paint 210 on the side for DEs.

Here's my 1970 2.2E, original RHD model.
Extensively restored, and mechanically rebuilt with 'S' pistons and cams - dynoed at 180 bhp. Based in London, and used regularly (ideally not on London's potholed and congested streets !) www.fluidimages.co.uk ![]()

Please don't think me a copy-cat if I end up painting mine the same color. I love Chartreuse on these cars
