Surely these 911's will appreciate the quickest, as the next 356.

I would have to vote for the 911Lightweight too.

I saw a green SWB with a 2.8L at Laguna a few years ago that is probably my favorite ever, no pics though.
Here is mine, not nice, but mine.

Svonkampen,

Your car looks great, love the color. Original? What's it called?

Beautiful cars in the thread.

Mine's ugly for now. I'll tear it apart as soon as the 914 is running and go back to the original aga blue.

Sam,
I am not sure what they call it apart from metallic green, but I will find out and let you know. I had a 1996 A4 Audi which was the same colour.

IMO Porsche 65-73 are the most beautiful cars ever designed. Ever ! Period !

However would not last 3 weeks in our climate if not kept in a bubble, in a tent, in a garage.

SWB short for Short Wheel Base ?

yup, SWB as in short wheel base, as in '65-'68.

semjon, your swb looks great! I'm not much of a vin decoder (not too mention too tired to do research)...is that a '65?

lots of great cars here, but I'm gonna have to go with Bob's '68 911L as well

this '68 is really nice as well, though I'm not sure if the owner is on the BBS.

SWB stands for Short Wheel Base Its all 911s/912s from 1965 to 1968. The wheelbase was smaller in these years then the LWB (long wheel base) '69-'73. The easiest way to tell is the access hole at the rocker panel. If its really close to the rear fender opening, its SWB. If its a little farther its LWB
