Fuchs
I'm buying a set of Fuchs from someone who is computer challenged and cannot provide a pic. Seller says the wheels were bead blasted to a grey finish. They were used as track wheels and not polished or painted. Any one have a picture of what these might look like? Thanks.

search for either RS or RSR finish, there have been some threads with wheels like that.......
Maybe even something from Wil about low bucks options? Sorry I don't have the link. -Chris

my entry in the Chri's link is second in line and my finish is what you would expect. Mine is media blasted, no coating or surface treatment. It does stain VERY easily.

DW,
Could you clear coat them to avoid staining?

Jorian,
I asked that same question, but the concern was no clear coat (powder, paint, etc) could be applied that wouldn't darken the color, which is very nice in its raw form. I actually took them to Al Reed and his shop to get their opinion. They said I should run them for a while and if the staining was too bad, that I should have them do their RSR annodize treatment which was a few hundred $$. Not bad, but I figured I'd just give it a go. I have sucessfully removed stains with a wheel cleaner product which is pretty harsh. The directions state only to use it for 10 seconds before spraying or washing off. It is some form of acid I believe. The product actually smells a lot like metal acid paint etching products I've used. Hope that all makes sense and helps! Doug
