new glass for the targa

Here is shot of the pros at work on my '85 targa just now in my bike shop.

Better them than me!

Professional Auto Glass in Seattle... one of the few local shops willing to take on the dreaded targa glass.

Yep they did, John. They took the glass and the new gasket/wiring harness etc. with them back to the shop to get it done right. It was basically ready to pop in when they got here.

The windshield is going in now. I bit the bullet and sprung for the OEM style with the antenna in it.

I told you you wouldn't recognize this car!

If you do a search for "installing Targa rear window" you should find how Kevin in Burbank does it. Works with a strap and pulls it in from lag bolts in the floor. Really looks neat and might have saved some time.

Hope I never have to change the rear window out unless I go with a soft rear window!
