What kind of fuel mileage are you getting in your Porsche ?

Just curious what kind of mileage some of the different models get ? :)

jtratza 10-15-2005 06:30 PM

Do a search. And I'm getting about 25 mpg highway and half that (or less) on track.

73.5 911T with CIS........25-26 freeway.....
22-23 chasing some of these crazy local 911 owners thru the curves....

Don Cothard 10-15-2005 07:19 PM

Before my odometer failure, I was averaging about 14 mpg on an 84 3.2 with over 180k now.

zzwhm 10-15-2005 07:30 PM

3.2 Carrera track car get about 6 minutes per gallon. 72T gets about 16 mpg.

24.6 in my '80 SC.

alf 10-15-2005 10:21 PM

20/25 City Hwy. Half that on the track.

RoninLB 10-15-2005 10:34 PM

It seems that a CIS or Motronic should get 25 +- 1 at 65-70mph.

carbs are more fun to figure in advance if you're into wild cards.

I have no friggin' idea. But for the way I drive - which isn't easy at all - and the sort of traffic I more than not seem stuck in - CIS is by far a savior. It's not too bad on the track, either. I can drive 60+ miles to the track, race around all day, and come back home on one tank of gas.

My 86 Carrera gets 20 MPG around town and 25 on the highway.

Heard that's a lot better than the SCs get which is one more reason...

1980 SC w/116,000 mi.

robhamster 10-16-2005 06:42 AM

'84 3.2. Cab 82K mi
21/26 city/hwy

I generally will get less if I remember I am driving a Porsche

livi 10-16-2005 06:46 AM

`85 Carrera Coupe. 87k. Never opened.

50 % highway, 30 % open roads and 20 % city.

Average 10 L / 100 km. (your miles/gallon impossible for me ;) )

Doug E 10-16-2005 06:52 AM

Right between 17 - 18 mpg.

gerry100 10-16-2005 09:19 AM

86 3.2-

- 18.5 average - pleasure drives thru the country side ( 90%)

- 25 mpg on the highway ( 5th gear, 70-75 mph)

- 12-13 at WGI, if the track is dry and fast.

1988 3.2 I like the price of premium last june. None of these trips are higway or conservative.

Sonic dB 10-16-2005 09:47 AM

I just purchased a 997 993 Cab... so far it seems to get about 17-19MPG, but I havent measured it to be sure.

My 86 Cab, conversely...gets about 23-24MPG...

maybe its the way that Im driving the 993 thats causing the dip ;)
