Chopped 911
Anybbody ever chopped a 911? I know it'd be a lot of fab work, but I also know it could be done. And it'd look cool. Drago couldn't drive it, but little fellas could if the seat were lowered.

I think it'd be pretty cool too, and lean the window back more.
With my Recaros I have several inches from my head to the roof, even if I wanted to wear a helmet I could take 4-5" out.

Drago?
I bet it would look cool. I think strosek did this on a lot of their cars in the early 90s.

Don't know how old you are Rob, but I know you're fairly wise. I remember Rat Fink during the hotrod era. In the drawings, he drove a tiny car with HUGE rear wheels and a HUGE engine sticking up out of the hood. That's another trick 911 I'd like to see. A 911 with a blown 426 Hemi sticking up out of the trunk hood. Rear end tubbed, with slicks that are 30" wide. That'd be cool too.

That tough Russian fellow would make a nice footstool for Drago.

Harald you should re-post the pics of the project! That thing is a work of art. I cringe when I see someone cutting on a 911 but you are doing it right IMO. It's time for an update on your project anyway isn't it?

Didn't Automotion set some records at Bonneville 10-15 years ago with a chopped 911?

Here is a photoshop version of my '73 targa with a chopped roof, about 2-3" chop. I did this a few months back. Also chopped the ducktail, and got rid of the door handles.

I saw a picture of a coupe with the roof chopped down by 3" I believe, IMHO it totally ruined the flow of the roof line on the car.

Good call Brandon I did not even notice th long hood at first. What an abortion. Long hood, boxster wheels and a late tale :-(( on a speedster??? to each his own. change the wheels and tale and at least it would be palatable.

I think the long hood speedster Bill posted belongs to a certain mechanic/shop owner and Pelicanhead residing in Washington state. If memory serves it is powered by a 3L Turbo engine.
OOPS!
