Does it happen on extremely tight and slow turning (like getting out of a parking space)?

Mine doesn't. If the front wheels are up in the air there is no noise. In contrast when you turn the steering wheel while not moving on pavement - then I hear it.

I'm woundering, since the cars have been lowered, could it be the tie rods aren't level? Did you see if there were any rack spacers installed between the rack and crossmember?
My problem was most evedent on slow tight turns. It turned out to be the greese in the rack was dried up and worthless.

Armandodiaz, will check the tie rods and rack spacers at my friends shop when it's up in the air-- Yep, it clicks when making really slow turns.. it might just be that--- the grease has dried out???
Damn, this forum and Pelican rocks! Such a cornucopia of knowledge that is shared--

Just passing on the knowledge I myself have learned here.
don't forget to change the steering wheel bushing as well.
Good Luck
