Any one got a good source for Toyo RA1s?

I'm considering switching to RA1s from MPSCs, any suggestiions? preferably East cost but others if that's best.

Bill-

CJ Tires in PA. I bought my set there and IIRC the price was a little less than Frisby and the shipping a lot less.

I don't think they have prices on the web so you'll need to call.

I bought my RA-1's from here:

http://frisbyracetire.com/toyomenu.html

I found them on a Miata site as a provider for their spec racing tires. I ordered 235 and 255 17" on my Fikse's and have been using them for the past two seasons. I'm happy with them and their service and shipping were great.

Bill

I had a very good experience buying a set from www.bmwheels.com

They were able to shave them to 4/32nds for me and were less expensive too.

Bill,

Jeff Curran at Group A Wheels sells RA-1s. He has great prices and really is a wealth of information (and has owned many Porsches to boot). Talk to him directly and mention my name (Jeff Martin) and he will give you a VERY good deal. Group A Wheels has an east coast location but Jeff will probably give you the best deal (even shipping from AZ or ship from the east coast). His phone# is 1-866-764-8729 and he usually gets in around 9:30 AZ time.

They will shave them for you also, and do a great job. Just about everyone I know buys from them. A few tried other vendors and switched back.

Check out http://www.treadepot.com/tireswheels.c/orders/index.html

They have a warehouse here in Atlanta that makes it easy for me.

Bill, I found that Bob Woodman tires has pretty good prices (225/45-16:$155, 245/40-16:$165) and pick-up at the April LRP PCA race means free shipping (Woodman truck will be there). I am doing this with my RA-1's. This might work out well for you too. As I recall you're not far from there.

chrisp 03-24-2006 06:49 AM

errr....make that 225/50 and 245/45. Sorry.
