The previous skilled body and paint guy was our very own KevinP73. He's also the guy doing the current update of, uh, what a lawyer might call: 'BB2(b).'

Kevin made the previous black paint look great:

But look at the leading edge of the rear flare:

That was from too much of this:

I have yet to manage to get BSY1 repainted for the first time, and Jack has BB2 in for the....I lost count! lol

BSY1 = Baby ***** Yellow One.

I can't wait to see the car when done, some of the best threads on this forum are from when Kevin has a car in his hands for some paint!

As David Hobbs would say, "A man with really, really big attachments would go with the Flat Black."

Then you could do this entire Star Wars theme on your 911. You could even model your racing suit and helmet after Darth Vader.... oh mercy. Back to my coffee.

Keep on Mr. Olsen. Great car whatever color you decide to put on its skin.

Nope, not in the Engineering & Construction world. It is a revision of an existing version, therefore BB2.1

Jack, Since it will be as freakin beautiful as it has ever been, how about larger rock guards on the leading edge of the rear flares than before and since you KNOW what happens to the front fascia, use the clear film stuff? Overall the car will stay looking Kevin-fresh a hell of a lot longer. Just my $.02

in aerospace, no change in "fit, form, or function" is just a Rev change: BB2 Rev A, or BB2A.

Freak em all out and paint it white. But we all know the best color would be blue.

Porsche's are silver. They look good in many colors, but the natural state of a Porsche is silver. Ferraris are red, corvettes are plastic, and vw's are rust.

I've always been partial to the 70's racing colors... but any Porsche with flared fenders looks best in Black. I always liked Minerva Blue, too, though I've never seen it on a wide body car before (anyone have pics?) And there was a darker silverish color that Porsche had in the late 80's that was nice...esp. with lipstick red interior.

Just curious: What has become of the project to revive BB1? Did they give up or is the BB1 resto going to be a Pelican-sponsored community project and the subject of Wayne's next book?

Jack points out a simple universal truth in Porsche's.. Black is simply the ONLY color to have...... and I have a blue one, it will simply never be as cool as the black one. Kinda like having an ugly kid, you love em just as much, but you'd rather look at the other one..
