s brakes upgrade

I want to put "s" brakes on a 911 1969. I have a set of "s" calipers but they are 3.5" where the M are 3", is there and adaptor for this upgrade?

What needs to be done to be able to put this upgrade?

Thanks

You will need to swap for struts w/ 3.5" ears

Steve, I don't think you can use adapters because the difference being so small. the dif is only a 1/4 of and inch per side.

"which struts have the 3.5 ears?"

Carreras. Also, early 911s (up to 74) with S brakes, SCs, early 930 turbos - maybe more.

Fred - I know they made adapters. I have seen them installed on two SWB 911's. As I recall, the 3" mount is bolted to the spindle and you replace it with a 3.5" mount. Whether they will work on a 69 or not, I don't know. Surely I'm not the only one who has seen these.

It would be great if I could use adapters instead of changing the struts. Anybody have an idea of where this adapters can be bought (or made)?
Any pictures? Any of you guys have done this upgrade?

Fred
