Relay for Heater Blower Motor

Hello Everyone,
The relay in the engine compartment for the heater blower motor has gone out in my 84 3.2.

Looking at some of the past threads I've noticed that some of the relays are 25amp and some (mine) are 16amp. Can you tell me why?

I'll probably just get a used one for now, these things are expensive for new ones.

Are you talking about black 911 615 109 01 relays?

No, I'm talking about the 911 618 153 00 relay.

Read up on backdating the heat system. Might be worth considering.

if I backdate, don't i lose heating or defrost? sorry, don't know much about it.

No but you get rid of that automatic stuff and the need for a relay.

And even with stock heat exchangers, you'll have plenty of heat after you backdate, so it's really a win-win.
