1980 911SC Daily Driver
353,850 miles (569,466 kilometers sounds more impressive) Original Engine, never apart (except to put on Carrera tensioners at 152,000) 23 mpg (US, not imperial gallons) and yes, it has seen 130 mph (but, invoking my 5th amendment rights, I won't say where or when )

84 Carrera about 210K miles
True mileage unknown and engine rebuilt at 200K so I probably don't qualify. What the heck... I love this thread and the car.

Someone else put the first 227K on it. I have nearly 700, and this puppy is sweet. It's coming up on needing ball joints, though.

Yes, I do. I'd like to swap to tail-less.. my car came with front & rear factory spoilers. But I'd need a few $$$ difference.

88 Tailless Carrera
Mine came from the factory with both front and rear. Front still there, tail was deleted in the early 90s. How much for the tail?
email me. stp007@nycap.rr.com Thanks |

Nice rides everyone! Cool to be in such good company!
Mine's a daily-driven 1984 Factory Turbo-Look Carrera. Almost there with 248,600+mi. (400,000 Km) M491 Coupe - Original 3.2 engine/915 transmission. Lowered, corner-balanced, bump steer, custom-valved Sport Bilsteins, Brey-Krause strut tower brace, 8 & 9x16 Fuchs, Sport Exhaust, RS Ducktail, H-4's, Euro Lenses, no fog lights, Momo seats, steering wheel and shift knob, plus the all-important loud air horn. Next? A new clutch/alum. pressure plate kit. ![]() ![]() Car "resting" at the Dana Point 356 Concours last weekend. Good Times! Like cruising in with somewhat backdated "Outlaw" 911 and hanging with a bunch of real 356 Outlaws.... Afer twelve years seat time, 3.2s are strong & reliable runners. Hey, even if I win the lotto, I'd be happy just having extra $$ to really fix it up! ![]() Have more fun! Leave a bit late & try to arrive, just a bit early... Life is simple, isn't it?

I ran into a guy at Rennsport Reunion today that has a 911T with 850,000 documented miles on the car. I had read an article on the car a couple of years ago in Excellence Magazine but never thought I would run across the car.
It is a two owner car. The first owner used the car to go lots of racing events around the US. He put 70,000 miles on the car in less than one year after purchasing the car. He continued to use the car for a long time. He only used one mechanic at the dealership where he purchased the car. When the original owner passed away he left the car to the mechanic who has now been working on Porsches for 32 years. That mechanic is now the shop foreman at the dealership. The car has had three rebuilds.
