It's thievery. I'm stupid not to drop everything right now and snap it up. Just not in the mood right now.

It still has 6 days left...doubt it will be $4800 for much longer.

Looks super clean. But it's the sporto that kills the resale $$$. If it was a 5-speed, I'll bet the bidding would be up to or over $20,000.

I posted a link to an ad about this car about 6 months ago. Identical pictures (I remember the front license plate holder drooping like that. Probably a scam for the deposit to 'end the auction'. Anyone e-mail the dude?
I love the color combo.

A sporto with a 'new clutch', 'manual transmission' and no clutch pedal.... be careful, the hood doesn't fit well either.

Definate Scam, check out his feedback. He sold a car Sunday with no picture or description for $4,000 and got and left feedback yesterday.

and now the seller has "cancelled" both bids at or above the $4,800 and has requested that they contact him directly.
Very fishy indeed.

It could very well be another ebay scam. I wouldn't buy without looking. So, anybody here from Decatur Illinois? If it's as represented, and the deal is legit? A great buy.

I could easily dispatch friends with cash in hand for this car in Chicago but just can't be bothered...this just reeks too badly.

Guys,
I've been following this forum for a while so Hello to all. I wish my first post were more positive but I'm pretty sure this auction is a scam. Text and pictures were taken directly from here: http://cannillomotorsports.com/pastinventory/79911t/79911t.htm This would be the second early 911 auction I've seen taken from this site in the last few months. The last one turned out to be a scam. Buyer beware. __________________ In the market Last edited by Lt. Frank; 08-24-2006 at 05:24 PM.. |
