Question What is this ?

I've searched by part number (944 606 151 00), by N/D number (135300 0100) and I can't find anything on it.

What is the round gold thing located under the drivers seat in my 88 Carrera? It has one wire going to a connector on it.
It also seems to have an adjustment screw located top center.

This is just a guess.......but it may be a device to measure altitude allowing your DME to make the proprer mixture adjustments.

Thanks guys,

Do you know how to tell if it is working properly. This car is new to me, I live at 5300 ft and it seems a bit anemic.

I think the trip point is about 3500 feet...either normally open or closed as far as I remember there is no analog output just on or off
