Rewiring the SC - what does this go to?

Looking for the mate to this connector - the wire comes out of the harness, at the rear fuse/relay console, but I don't seem to find a place to plug it in ???
Anyone recognize this booger ?

Much thanks - and Merry Christmas to all Pelicans!!
john

I just tore everything out of my SC and inspected it and I did not see anything that looks like that. Strange. Looks like a coffee pot plug!

Its been awhile since I was in there BUT I think it might be the power side of the 6 pin CD ign module. There is a wiring diagram for the SC here online What color are the 2 wire will help.

I think that goes to the rear window defrost.

The wire colors are...

Just checked the wires (as you requested, John)

One is RED with a WHITE thin stripe running along the length of the wire.
The other is RED, with a BLACK mark about once per inch on the wire.

Does that help at all ?

thanks
john

I took my engine fuse cover off and that connector goes to the rear defrost.

Much thanks - and Merry Christmas

Aha!
That explains it... in the past 5 years of this rebuild, we used a "smoke wrench" to remove the Targa bar and removed the rear glass (with defrost) and all other evidence of a top.
Then, installed a cab top and mechanism..... some time during the removal process, we must have pulled out the wiring for the rear defrost (of course, that was about 4+ years ago)

Much thanks - mystery solved ! I appreciate the great help from all of the Pelican Clan -
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Porsche owners !!!

John
