Correct Light Bulb

When my car came back from the body shop, one front directional bulb shone brighter than the other. I checked things out and one bulb was a dual filament bulb with a base that had offset nibs. The other side had a bulb with a single filament and nibs that are the same. Anyone know which is correct?

My car is not accessible to check today, but you might want take a close look into the socket. Look at the grooves for the nibs on the bulb. See if the grooves are designed to be offset or the same.
