If you are in Minneapolis this Saturday

If you guys would like a get together this weekend a group of Porsches are gathering this saturday Sept 1. The 356 guys are hosting and it is open to all Porsches:

"......Breakfast this Saturday morning.

Where:
The Square Peg Diner
2021 East Hennepin Ave
Minneapolis MN 55413

When:
Saturday morning 8:30 AM
September 1, 2007

Bring your 356 if you have and if not come anyway."

Knowing how many perfect weekends there are before the snows set in this could be a real jewel of an event.

If you plan on camping, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is phenomenal. Well that is what I have read at least. Marquette is cool too.

Ditto on the Picture Rocks area, there is ~2 hour boat tour that gives you a lake view but only take it if the weather is nice. Christmas has a nice National Park campground. Tahquamenon Falls (upper is worth the walk) is nice too. Avoid the temptation of the Mackinac Island trap, was back there last weekend and being from Michigan I can say it is not what it used to be.

Nice car by the way. These threads with people asking for places to visit and posting pictures is like the AAA of the p-car world. Look forward to the photos, have a great trip. Watch out for those logging trucks.

Thanks for your bringing up Pictured Rocks National Park, its hard to decide how much time to spend in each place. A few other people I know said the same, so I think we'll spend a few days in that area. My wife was talking about Mackinak Island, sounds like it's a tourist trap. We like to avoid crowds. We'll post some pictures along the way as the Internet connections allow.
