Outside our hotel, us in the centre with our friends car on the right and 933 turbo staying at the same hotel before the Silverstone classic where we did the 911 x 911 parade lap ( 1208 cars in the end).

By the way, I think as long as I can remember, red has been my favorite color. Has to be Red/White/Blue, for any kid growing up in my era, right? So Blue seemed to me to be too calm, and Red seemed to be the more aggressive color. Maybe that is why, but...

Anyway, red wagon, red bicycle, red tractors, red sweaters, red heads, the red baron, red cars, etc. "when I get old I'm going to wear a red hat, red shoes, and pee on my neighbors yellow flowers"

In re'gards' to Porsche there is a difference between Guards red and India red. Perhaps in those Brit uniforms but no color match with Porsche. BTW: If painting or touch-up beware of a PPG paint reseller and color codes... better off just bringing a gas cap for exact color scan. First hand experience and after they convinced me, will tell you the shade is different...arghh

Bought her from owner who saw my WTB ad on Pelican.
He noticed my ad said "any color except red or black", so he held off on calling me.
I'm glad he called! Condition was more important than color.
Paint is so shiny, that she seems REALLY RED.
I'm OK w color, not wild about wheels, but got Fuchs w car.

... sure are alot of fat bumpers out there. Mighty pretty stuff. I don't think Guards Red was available until the impact bumpers - '74? Good to see a few of us able to "borrow" your color.

Wow. I just realized my last update on this thread was 2007. And my pictures from back then (only having had the car for one year at that point) were pretty crappy.
